Catalyst Workshop
Different approaches to Remembrance Culture in Austrian and Italian formal and non-formal education.
The “Catalyst Workshop” event is part of the “CU Remember” project, which aims to develop innovative, transnational educational approaches to Remembrance Culture. The workshop in Vienna aims to identify educational tools and pathways for children aged 6 to 12. These are designed not only to raise awareness of the memory of the Holocaust and the crimes of Nazi-Fascism, but also to foster the development of a critical and democratic consciousness that respects otherness and is inclusive.
These two days, as well as the entire project, aim to find common methods and tools to address these issues in both the Austrian and Italian school systems, while highlighting the differences between them.
The event is divided into three modules for primary school teachers and educators. In addition to expert input, each module will include a workshop in which participants will take part. Every module works independently and can be booked together or seperately. (Registration below)
