We are proud to present our brand new EUCU.NET publication: “Catalysts for Change in Science With and For Society – The socio-political dimensions of engagement programmes for children and young people. A Declaration Framework.” [download the pdf-version at our documents section]

This booklet contains the four “Children as Change Agents” declarations that were adopted at the annual EUCU.NET conferences in Ankara, Porto, Lódz and Vienna from 2011-2014. These conferences took place in close cooperation with the SiS Catalyst project – one of the first Mobilisation and Mutual Learning Action Plans to be funded by the European Commission under FP7.

The compilation of the declarations – enriched by comments from various experts – sets up a new framework for the development of Children’s Universities and similar activities.

It is intended as a basis for discussions and for considering the important role that Children’s Universities can have in the empowerment of children and young people – and in giving them a voice to co-create their future. Children’s University programs can support higher education establishments and other science organisations in engaging with the society around them in a responsive way. We are confident that the declaration booklet will serve you well as a tool in this endeavor.

If you are interested in the dialog with children and young persons about their opportunities in higher education, science and research, the booklet will give you useful information – and it provides insight into the mission of the European Children’s Universities Network.

If you are not a member yet, joining EUCU.NET will provide you with support and knowledge from a network of innovative organizations and their committed experts and practitioners.

We are happy to receive your feedback, orders for printed copies of the booklet or your application for EUCU.NET membership.
