The next part of our Mentoring Partnership project took its place from 22nd – 25th October 2009 in Krakow and Trzebinia.

We, the organizers of Prešov Children’s University, have packed our suitcases (more precisely – the rucksacks) and accompanied by two children – a boy, Martin, 7 (the absolvent of a Little Bachelor program) and a girl, Kristina, 13 (the absolvent of a Little Master program) – headed for some Polish adventures.
On Thursday evening we arrived in the monumental Krakow and the first meeting with our Mentoring partners from Malopolski University for Children in Trzebinia took its place right by the breakfast next morning. During the breakfast we were discussing many issues concerning our visit the Saturday lecture – on interesting topic How do the animals communicate – in Trzebinia as well as our latest CU experiences from Liverpool (Jolanta Różowska) and Copenhagen (Adela Mitrová). We have also discussed the way of our presentation of the MP project on the on-coming Twin City conference and many other important issues related to the concepts and ideas of the children’s universities.

After some sightseeing’s and inbreathing the atmosphere of the typical Polish city (former capital of Poland) the next day, Saturday 24th, we moved to Trzebinia (about 40 km from Krakow) to meet with our partners and children at Malopolski University for Children. Together with about 150 children participants we attend the interesting lecture presented by dr. hab Małgorzata Kruczek from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (one of the oldest universities in Europe). After receiving the special indexes our two Slovak children became the official Malopolski University participants.

Before the lecture (that are regularly taking place in the modern cinema) they also managed to make friends with several Polish children, and of course, meet again with their friend Wojtek.

It is really difficult and challenging to keep the attention of about 150 children, yet dr. hab Malgorzata Kruczek was really “equiped” for the challenge.
